Her petal white skin grew colder and her fiery cinnamon hair flickered in the gentle snowfall. Everything was desolate and silent. Nothing. Nothing but her, the sea of snow and the earth below.
Slowly and gradually, her soft cheeks came to colour; As if her skin was a blank untouched canvas, colour began to appear. Her lambent hazel eyes opened, just as they would have in shock, and they fluttered a little as the light white snow swiftly lashed her face.
Sitting up, dazed and confused, she looked around. She was dumbfounded at the clothes she was wearing; A long ebony black cloak, with long arms and huge pockets, fit for a large male...Let alone a delicate young girl. In one of the pockets, she could feel something familiar in texture. She pulled out the strange article. A small archaic piece of paper, which on its tattered auburn surface, read in large elegant writing:
Tokyo
Zephyr
The two words meant nothing. Though, as if she knew, without even knowing, it sent a chill down her spine. As she carefully placed the paper back in her pocket, she noticed a large shadow other than the one she was casting...Like the shadows of a million bars that would never end sprawled out and blanketed the snow. It felt as if she had no choice but to stay there. The shadow was like a cage. She turned around, old and fragile, stood a black gate. It towered above her, far into the sky, it touched the clouds. The black iron bars were like coal, and cold as ice.
Although she had no reason for being there...wherever she was...her heart told her to go through the gateway. It was the beginning of her destiny.
